ok. despite the reason that this laptop has a bamboo casing because it's jumping on the Green/renewable resources/eco-friendly gimmick bandwagon, and my supreme loathing for this latest marketing fad and gimmickry, my love for bamboo supercedes it and i love this.
Debuted in Taiwan last year, i just may keep an eye out for it in 09 and get a job so i can get one of these.

Food: The morning Pre-eat: champagne mimosas, and some chunky soup (i am obviously living solo) The Actual Dinner for 5: Whole Virginia Ham, 2 kinds of whole fish - one stuffed, one fried, bbq shrimp, fried turkey, fried green tomatoes topped with lump crabmeat, shrimp tempura, cheddar potatoes au gratin, stuffing stuffing stuffing, green bean casserole, chiffon cake with berries and creme freche
Brother: one looks just like a korean pop star, hilarious.
Parents: Dad crankay, Mom just like in A Christmas Story and did not sit down the whole meal. Leftovers: Tons of food, bottle of merlot and from mom: 2 paris of shoes - purple steve madden flats, and lavendar short uggs.
Pixel scored herself some turkey, snuck a shrimp off my plate while i wasn't looking, and some fried green tomatoes.
This Breakup Song of the Day came on the radio and i never really was a big fan of it, mostly b/c i was jealous hatin on Alicia Silverstone.
The lyrics do mirror me and the ex-kick. we got together under hard circumstances, and i've never cried out of happiness of loving someone so much, and now i really am trying to forget him, and it kills me that i let him in so deep into my heart. we were best friends. Partners in crime, he had that something that just hooked me completely. Augh. This is freaking me out. the whole thing.
ok, this is totally corny and take this as a warning and proof that lack of sleep brings about actions and behaviors that you would not do if you were your normal sane self. one 4:30am night as i was having another sleepless deployment night i was browsing the apple apps store and came across a tarot card a day app...and as i had just been reduced to watching some "women's show" on that happened to be about vampires or wiccan women who were living such "alternative lifestyles," i was a little sucked into the app.
so i picked today's card and it is this:

hmmm, well that is actually pretty nice. especially since just yesterday I had The Talk with the ex-Kick, as he was back in country and i guess the air is cleared, and i am at the start of my new phase.

This has been what i've been watching nonstop since i got dumped. Sexual depravity, serial murderers, revenge, ruckus and Josh Duhamel. Yes. it's been rough.
Funny how what was once something that brought two people together can have totally different meanings once the two people split up. This song was totally one of me and the Kick's favorite songs, i even fancied him my own JT at times. We always had such a good time dancing and music was something that was a big part of our good memories and good times.
And now this song is pretty painful. Knowing that i had such strong feelings towards him, that i thought we had something so special, all for naught, because he obviously never felt the same way. I still would rather have not ever have felt how i felt with him rather than the "better to have loved and lost etc" bullshit. I put all i had into the relationship. The deployment. I stayed true, faithful, supportive and proud of him. I have never felt like anyone i ever went out with was a waste of time, even in the really bad ones. But I wasted it all on this one. I wasted a year of my life and heart and tears on someone who would reject me and all i had to offer for a few grand in the bank. That's what i was told, anyway. I honestly don't know the why.
But i'm taking this song in a way to know that i do have the capacity to put myself and my heart out there completely and that I can do it again. It will come back around to me, and that there is someone out there who has the ability to make what goes around come back around, and for me i know that what will come back around to me will be awesome and wonderful and actually genuine, because what i put out there was pure and truthful, vulnerable, and most of all genuine.
A year ago today, I was dying on the inside because the (now-ex) Kick had gotten his orders to be deployed to iraq.
Now, it's the week when he is due back any day now, and instead of prepping with joy that he is coming home, i am prepping with sadness and indifference for him to come get his stuff out of my house. He broke up with me, cerebrally, i get it. He wanted out. you can't make someone stay who doesn't want to. I may never know why he left, but i've accepted it.
It was the last thing i thought i'd be doing upon his return from his deployment.
gah, i have sooooo many halloween pics to post! i saw great costumes and i got blindsided with shooting a nike commercial for Chris Paul's new jordans, and election night, and my RAM-less laptop takes a realllllly long time to process the pics.
but i have them! i will post them!!! i'm so almost done.
